I was booked 1 night last november. Then a third party told me mid september 24 that the place was burned down but rooms were still operational (info I would have expected from bushpub inn, but nothing). Cancelled the booking end of september (so before the 30 days according to cancellation policy) and ask for refund. Nothing after 2 mails and even popped in recently just to discover the place is closed. Its never funny to have your buisness burnt down, I get that, but at least some info would have been appreciated. Customer care close to "zero", and for that reason it won't be my pick in the future should they ever reopen. Nice vibes. Awesome food. Awesome staff. How to begin… we have searched TIRELESSLY to find the best chicken livers in Hoedspruit. Everywhere is good, yes, but we were in search of greatness. Immediately upon walking into the Bush Pub we were greeted warmly by Casper’s smile. He escorted us to our seats and made us feel at home. More at home than my own mothers womb. Casper is family. I told him things i have not even uttered aloud to myself. I will be naming my first son Casper in the hopes of ever repaying him for the friend he is. What can I even say about the food. Casper hand delivered the most delectable Chicken livers in South Africa. He raises happy chickens and even gave us a tour of their spa like facility where he hand feeds and massages the chickens daily. What a delight. The drinks you might think would be the same everywhere, but Casper has taken the time, love and passion to pour a perfect pint. He has it down to a science and is considering publishing his research later this year. Our cups were full. We decided to end our lunch with a cheeky afternoon shot of Jameson, inspired by the stunning and sustainable walls made from the bottles of the dark delicatessen. We were only to be made to feel like guests of honor as Casper brought us our treat in lightning time. Chilled. To. Perfection. We left with full bellies and even fuller hearts. Casper and the Bush Pub came into our lives when we had thought all hope was but a distant fantasy. Thank you for changing our lives and hearts. We will be back as soon as we can.

Rustic bar and restaurant where locals of the area gather to socialize and have a drink. Service is slow, but everything in the bush is slower to be appreciated more. The food is very good. We tried a diverse selection from the menu and everything was tasty. Good place to stay before entering the Timbavati or Klaserie reserves.

I was there with friends. They had espetada on special (board as you enter). It was cold and tough. Really not nice. The other lady had bangers and mash. The sausages had big pieces of fat. The Don Pedro's was the worst I ever had. And expensive. The oxtail was good. The Manager came round to ask how the food was and I told him the espetada was cold and tough. He proceeded to agree with me and discuss how bad the food is.... The venue is lovely. Can't go wrong with the bush. Wish we had pizza...
