We had the mango con leche, maracuya sour, fettucini alla huancaina, fried causa, causa acevicheada, and chiccarrones de cerdo and everything was fabulous. the owner is so kind and answered all my questions. i have a dairy allergy and the owner confidently recommended safe options for me. Skip all the touristy restaurants and come here. As a Peruvian, I can say the food is authentic and amazingly seasoned. We had the mango con leche, maracuya sour, fettucini alla huancaina, fried causa, causa acevicheada, and chiccarrones de cerdo and everything was fabulous. the owner is so kind and answered all my questions. i have a dairy allergy and the owner confidently recommended safe options for me.

We were both so hungry and tired from 10 hours of trekking with heavy backpacks.. this was the PERFECT place for us to grab a hearty and filling dinner. The lomo saltado with alpaca was cooked very well, it was exactly what we were hoping for. Service was friendly and fast. Thank you so much!

I ate at Minkay Wasi three times during my stay in Aguas Calientes, twice for dinner and once for lunch. The food was consistently fresh and the staff were kind and helpful. The trout and the duck were great. What really set it apart was the authentic atmosphere. Unlike many restaurants in Machu Picchu, Minkay Wasi did not feel like a tourist trap and nobody was standing on the sidewalk trying to pull you inside. Thank you for a great experience!
