Local gem! The food, service and the location are just great. We’ve been twice at this restaurant and would love to come back again. Alcohol not available to purchase, however you’re allowed to bring own alcohol. We’ve had delicious grilled octopus, lobster (you have to ask for availability) - the food was simply great! Also cost of it was surprisingly low! Highly recommended for lunches and dinners!

Delicious food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is right on the beach, so you can enjoy your meal with your feet in the sand. The food is really good, we had grilled octopus, grilled chicken, a fresh mango avocado salad, and chicken pilau. Highly recommended if you want an authentic Zanzibar experience with great taste.

The Fish Market on Nungwi Beach is always bustling with energy — full of locals, travelers, and the mouthwatering aroma of seafood grilling by the shore. The location is unbeatable, right on the sand with beautiful ocean views, especially at sunset. The food was good — fresh catch of the day cooked simply, letting the natural flavors shine. It’s not gourmet, but it’s tasty and satisfying. Service can be a little slow because it’s busy, but the lively atmosphere makes up for it.

We went for dinner and it was amazing. It’s right at the beach. We had prawns curry, grilled king fish which comes with fries, rice and salad and we also had a mango avocado salad. The next day we had prawn noodles and the burger - again amazing. Everything was so so good and it came really fast. The staff is super nice and prices are a lot cheaper than at most places on the island. Big recommendation!

It was good and tasty food if compared to other restaurants with the same price range. The fish was well grilled, not overdone, the side salad had some vinaigrette added (in other places vegetables were unseasoned). The fresh juice was good, just the glass was rather small but the price was low as well.
