I had a really good lunch here. Service was absolutely wonderful. I had the cocktail of the day which was really refreshing and nice since it was pretty sunny outside. My tuna was perfect so refreshing as well as the sauce it came with and the salad was very, very fresh which I really loved. I will definitely go back again! The restaurant has a nice rooftop setting with a beautiful view of the ocean, as it’s located on top of a hotel. However, I found it to be a bit overpriced for what it offers. The food took quite a while to arrive and was already cold when served, and the portion sizes were quite small. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming. One thing to note — the toilet did not have a hose for washing up, which might be inconvenient for some visitors. We have stayed at Upendo house for the last 5 days room 103. We have had the best time here in stone down, perfect location, incredible staff, the best food in Zanzibar but we have been very well looked after whole time. Rooms cleaned 2-3 times a day without questioning, which has been incredible. 10/10 if you’re looking to stay here while in Stone Town. Amazing staff, manager and hospitality. Even made up a breakfast box for our safari trip early in the morning.

I had a really good lunch here. Service was absolutely wonderful. I had the cocktail of the day which was really refreshing and nice since it was pretty sunny outside. My tuna was perfect so refreshing as well as the sauce it came with and the salad was very, very fresh which I really loved. I will definitely go back again!

The restaurant has a nice rooftop setting with a beautiful view of the ocean, as it’s located on top of a hotel. However, I found it to be a bit overpriced for what it offers. We have stayed at Upendo house for the last 5 days room 103. We have had the best time here in stone down, perfect location, incredible staff, the best food in Zanzibar but we have been very well looked after whole time. The 30.000tsh that come as a coupon are well spend. During sunset probably one, if not the best location on a roof top. Very chill atmosphere on the top floor. The restaurant below also looked nice. Drinks on the rooftop bar were divine.

Very good food, but quite pricey. Would recommend the Gorgonzola risotto, but not the beef teriyaki (way too much pepper). Service very well though, nice view
