The concert is 10k TZS additional and starts around 8:15PM so you can time your dinner appropriately. The restaurant is beautiful with cool architecture and plants- it must be pretty during the daytime as well!

A special dinner experience in the heart of Stone Town. The Secret Garden, part of the famous Emerson Spice Hotel, is tucked away behind carved doors and old walls, an elegant corner of the city quietly brought back to life. The setting is lush with greenery—vines, palms, and blossoms softening the stone and timber, creating a space that feels both timeless and intimate. The menu is small and carefully curated, with each dish given attention and care. I chose the East African curry Kuku wa Kupaka—rich, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. On weekends, they host live concerts, adding another layer to the already magical atmosphere.

This was my favourite place i went too during my stay in stone town, the interior was very fitting to the name of the restaurant it was gorgeous, the goat biriyani we ordered was one of the best biriyanis I've ever had, this is a must order if you go, love this place and wont be forgetting this meal for a long time.
