One of the best Italian restaurants in the island. It’s run by the owner is a chef, which gives a homey atmosphere. The food is excellent. I’ve been there couple of times, I had different pasta dish were the pasta is freshly made at their kitchen. Definitely will be back again.

Best restaurant in Zanzibar! Managed by a wonderful Italian couple, this restaurant specials with Italian food, we had a great time, amazing service and attention to details, will come back again for sure! Make sure to call for reservations since this place is packed and for a good reason.

Very delicious homemade pasta! The appetizer was also fantastic. The owners speak Italian, which makes the experience even more authentic. I have one small suggestion for improvement: I would recommend serving the bruschetta already topped with the tomatoes, rather than preparing them in 5 liters of olive oil. Credit card payments are accepted. We came here spontaneously for dinner, without a reservation. We can absolutely recommend this place!

One word for the food. Lobster pasta. Also ate the kingfish which was good. Desert nbr one and panacotta is fine too

Capannina Zanzibar is a true hidden gem when it comes to Italian cuisine! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with warm Italian hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. The owners, both genuine Italians, clearly pour their hearts into every dish they create, and it truly shows in the exceptional flavors. During our visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Noodles with Gorgonzola and Cashew Nuts, and it was an absolute delight. The combination of the rich Gorgonzola and the crunch of the cashew nuts created a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. The pasta was cooked to perfection, al dente, just the way it should be. My husband opted for the Poke Bowl with Octopus and Chicken mix, and it was a true fusion of Italian and Zanzibari flavors. The freshness of the ingredients, along with the carefully marinated octopus and tender chicken, made for a unique and satisfying culinary experience. The presentation of the dish was also impeccable, a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. The attention to detail and the commitment to quality ingredients are evident in every dish served at Capannina Zanzibar.
