We had amazing pancakes made of potato and seafood, as well as seafood and ribs soup. The restaurant doesn’t look any special and it is not easy to be found, but the food was very good. They were also very kind to suggest the spicy level of the food.

It is a great restaurant, with a very welcoming environment and warm people the two ladies that attended us were really kind. The food is excellent and the price is very proportionate and reasonable. We ordered more than our stomach could hold for sure, we overestimated how big the doses were (we ordered small). Food is delicious and very well seasoned. I would even say is one of the best restaurants I went to so far in Korea.

Super nice food. Had the octopus with the ribs and crab. Level 2 spiciness. Added ramen noodles and steamed eggs. Way too much food for 2, but we enjoyed tasting it all. Meat is tender, the octopus is the most tender I ever have tried. Goes well with makgeolli. The place is a bit hard to find in a back alley

For our last meal in Korea, we wanted something that wasn't too fancy. Looking at the pictures of Sinchon Yangpuni, it looks like a place for delicious korean stew with ribs ("galbijim"). The restaurant is located in the popular Seomyeon area of Busan in an area with multiple alleys. It can be hard to find the place but they put a nice sigh outside that clearly says "This is the place you are looking for" and it certainly was. We arrived early enough to get a table immediately on the second floor. The restaurant is small but had quite a few tables. As many other reviewers mentioned, it is foreigner friendly. They had an English menu and their staff spoke enough English to help us order. The menu itself was not hard as you pick a stew and then add any other items. We ordered the octopus and short rib stew along with a side of katsu (pork cutlet - must have!!). The stew is incredible! The staff gave us a moment to take some pictures before cutting up the octopus and removing the meat from the rib bones. They then added the katsu The octopus was tender and had soaked in the flavor of the stew. The short ribs might look bony but the meat falls right off the bones and was incredibly tender. The stew was nicely flavored and not too spicy since we got it mild. They can make it spicier if you would like more kick. The side dishes were also very good and we cleaned all the food on the table very quickly. Sinchon Yangpuni deserves the great reviews they have for the great food, good services, and all at a reasonable price ($60 for a group of 4). I would eat there every time I'm in Busan.

Great food, very pleasant service and a quaint place (I visited around 1pm on a Monday). The ribs with aged kimchi + katsu is crazy good. Loved the place. If you get the potato seafood pancake, dipping it in the sauce the ribs came in, best way to eat that.
