While visiting Denver I was craving cornbeef hash with eggs and found this cool diner who served that. I came on sat noon and the place was crowded. I sat right away on the bar and the bartender was great and helped me right away. The food was good and service was excellent. The place is huge and I loved the style. Overall I had a great experience and I would recommend this place. If you in downtown Denver and looking for good breakfast I would definitely visit this place. Hope that helped... Let’s start with, the food here was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, it was fairly loud, making it hard to talk even just one person over. And because they were so busy, we visited on a Saturday around brunch, we didn’t feel like we had prompt service. We were seated relatively quickly, and the food was out incredibly fast. But we waited for 15+ mins to get the check and boxes. We will likely return, but plan to get to go instead 😋 We visited yesterday. We haven’t been here in probably 20 years and it’s fairly close to our son’s place so we gave it a go. It was loud and warm on a chilly afternoon and very inviting. The music is just bangin’. The restroom I used was clean. The folks were friendly. The guys enjoyed their meals. We had a patty melt with tots, a giant 6 egg omelette with hashbrowns and I had their version of a Monte Cristo. Everything was good except my meal. Undercooked French toast is gross. It was so soggy. it made me gag. I attempted to just take off the top piece of bread that was truly inedible for me, however the cheese adhered to half the sandwich, and it was a lost cause. Didn’t even eat half my sandwich. And listen, these things happen. I would have told our server and gotten something else, as I was very hungry, but she was also the bartender (another thing, they sat us way back in the bar yet we passed clean booths as we walked through the original restaurant.) So anyway, I ate what I could and told her when she came to get our payment. (It stinks when your service isn’t attentive. If the bartender is busy, then an actual server should be assigned to us. They were in the bar waiting on other tables.) I was not offended in the LEAST when I told her I couldn’t eat my meal and she took $2 off my $20 meal. That was still on my plate. Nope. Not at all. I just smiled and we left. Never to visit again. Which is a bummer but I’m not going to patronize a business that clearly does not care if their product is a good one. Like I said, bad meals happen but the way our server handled the situation was not at all what I expected from a downtown staple. We travel and eat out A LOT. This was an unexpected response. Literally better to do nothing or ask if I would care to speak to a manager, yeah? To pay $70-80 for BREAKFAST and then I have to eat when we got home…. Tsk tsk.

So many amazing food options to choose from! The Chile rellenos were small but really good. I was happy to be given the option for vegetarian green chile. The Athena Omelette was pretty good too. We enjoyed the sweet cream pancakes too! Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Bathroom was clean.

Popular, noisy, authentic diner. The portions are large, the selection is large and varies from everything for breakfast to burgers and sandwiches, to Mexican options. I had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach and it was very good. My family also enjoyed a Reuben, a burger, and the chicken enchiladas and we all cleaned our plates.
