Impeccable service - quiet, attentive and warm. Huy made excellent recommendations, though I suspect everything here is outstanding. The chef’s story on the menu gives you a glimpse into the care behind every dish — food made to bring comfort and happiness. And it truly does; we smiled with every bite. Tucked just off the main street, it’s calm and easy to relax here. Within minutes we’d already decided we wouldn’t bother trying anywhere else in Hoi An - we’re coming back to try more of the menu. Exceptional in every way. EDIT: We did come back. This time in the afternoon and sat on the outside verandah at the front. Again, the service, this time by Hana, was exceptional and the food as equally excellent as dinner a couple of nights back. We had a wonderful dining experience! Our server Luna was warm and attentive, and her recommendations were spot on. We especially loved the steamed squid, bun cha, and the special crab spring roll — all beautifully executed with a contemporary twist. The restaurant itself is a quaint, cosy spot tucked away in a back alley — clean, quiet, and perfect for a relaxed evening. The ambience is calm and modern, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy elevated local flavours in a comfortable setting. Em is my favorite restaurant in South East Asia. Period. The Bun cha, the Pork Belly Skewers, the Pho… everything is simple but delicious and beautifully presented. But above all else… just talk to the owner about his passion for food, his story and his restaurant. I will never forget this place! Pd: ask for wine recommendations!

Em is my favorite restaurant in South East Asia. Period. The Bun cha, the Pork Belly Skewers, the Pho… everything is simple but delicious and beautifully presented. If you like Vietnamese food and dining fancy, then this I the place for you. Each dish is made by homemade ingredients and love. We ordered a lot of small dishes and shared them all. We had Hana as our waiter, and she was very sweet.

Wonderful, slightly more inventive take on local cuisine and classic dishes. Definitely ask about the specials — they were the standout (the pork belly was amazing and pho rolls an interesting take and phenomenal!). We shared five small plates which was the perfect amount. Lili looked after us so well and explained everything beautifully. If you are looking for something a little different but full of great flavour, this is the place.
