Our dinner at The Son Bistro in Vietnam was nothing short of extraordinary – not just in terms of flavor, but the entire emotional experience. This is a place where every detail is thoughtfully curated, and the atmosphere makes you want to come back… as soon as possible. A special shoutout goes to our waiter, Quang – a man with exceptional professionalism and warmth. Always smiling, incredibly helpful, and attentive to every need of the guests. It’s clear that his goal isn’t just to provide good service, but to ensure each guest feels genuinely welcome and taken care of at the highest level. Thanks to him, we truly felt like special guests – not just customers. The food at The Son Bistro is pure poetry – every bite told a story of Vietnamese cuisine, blending tradition with a modern touch in both presentation and flavor. The freshness of the ingredients, attention to detail, and perfect balance of aromas made this one of the culinary highlights of our trip. Adding to this unforgettable evening was the incredible live music – subtle, atmospheric, and perfectly in tune with the setting. The melodies floated gently in the air, creating a backdrop that was both relaxing and emotionally uplifting. The music didn’t overpower – it complemented – exactly as it should in a place of such high standards. The Son Bistro is more than just a restaurant – it’s an experience. A place where taste, ambiance, and service blend into a perfect harmony. Without a doubt, one of the best dinners we’ve ever had. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for more than just a meal – to anyone in search of a true feast for the senses We stumbled upon this restaurant when walking around old town on the first night but it was full so we came back the following night. We shared the tasting platter and Cao Lau and we absolutely loved both options. The beer and red wine were also great and all at a good price. The service is impecable and super efficient. We were served by Tan, who was very friendly. They also have live music some nights. One to visit for sure! I visited The Son Bistro in Hoi An for dinner and was drawn in by the stylish setup and cozy ambiance — candle-lit tables, nice music, and a relaxed, slightly upscale vibe. The menu looked promising with a variety of Vietnamese dishes and grilled skewers. The standout for me was the seafood — the shrimp, squid, and chicken skewers were fresh, well-seasoned, and paired nicely with the dipping sauces. I also enjoyed the green papaya salad; it was zesty, refreshing, and balanced really well with the crispy prawn crackers. However, the beef skewers were unfortunately a miss. The meat was chewy and cold by the time it reached the table, which really took away from the experience. For the price and presentation, I expected better quality. Service was polite and the setting is lovely, especially if you're sitting outdoors in the evening. Overall, it has potential — maybe I caught them on an off night — but I’d recommend sticking to the seafood and lighter dishes.

Great location just off the river and at a busy corner great for people watching. The craft brews were unique and delicious! We ordered a variety of items off the menu and the food was amazing! I think I’ll have to return for another bowl of Cau Lau. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!
