We had an excellent experience overall — the service was genuinely first-rate and the food was very good throughout. The starters and dessert were both delicious, and the minute steak had a lovely flavour. The only disappointment was that it arrived cooked well-done to very well-done rather than the medium-rare we’d requested. That minor issue aside, it was an excellent meal in a great setting. One note for diners: a 12.5% discretionary service charge is automatically added. While that’s clearly stated, it’s a little disappointing to see at a restaurant carrying Gordon Ramsay’s name — I’d expect a place of this calibre to ensure staff are fully compensated without passing that on to customers.

Amazing food and great place overall! Service wasn't the best even though we were let in without a reservation, which we appreciated much. They came too many times asking if we were ok and if we wanted more drinks for my taste, the the bill was wrong and it take a really long time for them to bring it back (we had to ask after more than 15 minutes) making the end of the experience very awkward... Food was great overall and cocktails as well. I would say it is a bit too dark in some areas so lighting could probably improve as well.

Very nice and enjoyable service. We Took the seasonal menuof 3 courses. The cod's bites were a bit simple nothing too surprising. The wings are definitely nice. The sea bream main dish was very good and well done. Excellent The quick steak was average but the gravy sauce and Fries was good The tiramisu was more of a mousse than an Italian tiramisu. The taste was there ( tho it could have used bit more alcool). But the biscuits / texture was definitely missing. Overall good experience but was expecting a bit more. I wouldn't have given a apron to Gordon. Kekw

My parents and I visited Bread Street Kitchen & Bar for the second time today on October 15th and once again we were truly delighted of our experience. A lovely Italian lady, which we unfortunately didn’t catch the name of, Ollie and Giordano took care of us wonderfully throughout our evening. And thank you to the chefs, Antonio and Gavin, who delivered absolutely delicious meals, as each detail was cooked to perfection. We truly enjoyed our time at the restaurant and we are looking forward to come to this wonderful establishment and team again and again. Thank you so much and see you soon! Update: Yet another incredible experience at the Bread Street Kitchen & Bar Edinburgh a couple of weeks later! Thank you to the wonderful team: Kirsty, Piera, Charlie, Giordano and Ollie. Great service from our waiters and all members of staff that we interacted with. However, the food was not great ☹️ quite disappointing as we were expecting a great meal as I’ve been before in London and it would have been 5 stars all around. I personally had the cod bites and the minute steak on the set menu however the steak was tough and the batter around the cod didn’t stick to the fish at all. The quality was good, however I think some work was needed to make this great. As mentioned though, the waiters made this experience better however we didn’t mention about the food not being great.
