One of the best meals I had in Florence this time around! I cannot recommend enough that you try the Angel and Devil Gnocchi - it may have been the best thing I’ve ever had in Italy across my two visits in the last 12 months. I also had a great Hugo Spritz and I tried the blue and caramelized onion ravioli, as well as some cannellini beans and some of my friend’s steak. I booked this place for the end of our time in Florence because I wanted to make sure we had a chance at trying the steak florentine before we left and it came highly recommended here, but we were a bit tired of steak by the end of our trip (I know, how is this possible??). I saw other diners enjoying the steak Florentine and it looked amazing. This place is definitely a good one for meat and steak, as was evidenced by one of our dining companion’s steak special with tartuffa. We made a reservation weeks in advance but it was so easy to call the same day to add two more people to our table. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend trying this place and I will certainly return in the future.

My wife, daughter and I had lunch here today. First, Nico, our server was awesome. Gave us the scoop on all the food and was spot on. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. The food was unbelievable. My wife had an eggplant parmigiana, and my daughter and I split a gnocchi with a cheese sauce and bacon as well as some grilled chicken over an arugula salad. I cannot say enough good things about the food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant if looking for a terrific restaurant in Florence!

It was just as delicious as I expected! The atmosphere was so lively and cool, and the servers were really nice. It’s the perfect place to try Florentine steak! The 1.4 kg steak was perfect for two people 🐷🥩♥️

We have been looking forward to eating here since we made reservations 2 months ago. We were not disappointed. Instead, La Buchetta exceeded our expectations. Servers were friendly and welcoming. They paid great attention to detail and we never wanted for anything. They were always there when needed. The food was outstanding! Gnocchi angels and demons was out of this world, it was creamy yet savory and spicy. Of course we had the Florentine steak. Unbelievably tender and flavorful... so much so that we even ate the fat. We would be regular customers if we lived here. Thank you for feeding us so well on our last night in Florence.

We booked a table in advance of our trip to Florence & judging by the que around the corner on a Wednesday evening it was justifiable. The food and atmosphere were amazing. One of the best meals we have experienced in a long time. The restaurant was small but vibrant with energy and conversation. The service was superb, the waiters spoke excellent English and took time to explain the dishes and recommendations on wines. We wanted to experience authentic Florentine steak and we were not disappointed. The T bone is bought out raw and weighed on your table, giving you are idea of the price you will be paying. We ordered a starter to share followed by the steak and side dishes of roast potatoes and beans. The steak was cut for you at the table and it was amazing, one of the best steaks we have ever had. It came with an edible candle made of the fat. Poured over the steak it made it even more tender and full of flavour. We would definitely recommend a visit and to book your table in advance. Thanks to everyone at the La Buchetta for the wonderful food and wine and for the great service. We will definitely be returning.
