The staff was amazing and so kind! The food is delicious! We got the special tempura set and you get wagyu, chicken, and pork! So you get a little bit of everything. Syusuke was cooked everything and even made me a cake for my birthday! The staff really makes you feel welcomed! A wonderful experience here. First place we have eaten at here in Kyoto and we were very impressed. The tempura was perfect! And so delicious. We ordered the hot ramen with tempura (meat and vegetarian). Oishi 😋. The staff were excellent. Oh, and matcha beer. Worth a try. Thank you. I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking to go shopping, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip to Kyoto. As a solo traveler, I sometimes hesitant to walk into places, but I'm so glad I did. The tempura was simply masterful. I ordered a set meal, and each piece was a revelation. The chefs have perfected the technique of creating an incredibly light, thin, and impossibly crisp crust. Nothing was ever greasy or heavy, allowing the natural flavor of the fresh meat and vegetables to truly shine. What made the experience even more special was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly and created a warm, welcoming vibe that made me feel completely at ease dining alone. Even with my non-existent Japanese and their limited English, we managed to communicate with smiles and a genuine effort from both sides. It’s a truly foreigner-friendly place that has managed to retain its authentic Japanese hospitality without any pretension. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable tempura experience served with kindness, this is the place. Arigatoooo!!

Would give 6 stars if I could. Amazing food. The staff was very fun, cheering when bringing out the salmon roe! Everything is made fresh in front of you. Well worth the price. Would recommend a wagyu set.

We stumbled upon this lovely spot today and we are glad we stopped by. The food is terrific! I highly recommemd this restaurant to any and all tourists traveling internationally. The staff is amazing, enthusiastic, and the atmosphere is lively. You will have a wonderful experience here and enjoy good food! I highly recommend the iced matcha if you like matcha as much as I do. We ordered the special tempura set and it came with a lot of food so don't expect to eat small portions, haha! 10/10 ✨️
