Mambo’s was awesome! Our server was Kenny, a great person who was very passionate about his job and our experience. I had the Taste of New Orleans. Chefs kiss, moi! My wife, Chefs Salad with delicious fried gator! Yummmmy! Would definitely recommend this establishment for their food, location and their amazing staff! Stopped in for dinner the night before heading out for a cruise. It was a Wednesday night so Bourbon St was pretty chill so the restaurant wasn’t really crowded. The restaurant was nice and the waiter was very nice and attentive. Walking in the oyster grill master was showcasing his skills which was nice to see and not being done in the back of the house. The food was pretty good. The oysters were absolutely amazing! None of my party eats oysters so I got to enjoy them by myself. I had the gator po-boy and red beans. The po-boy was good, nothing amazing. It was kind of dry to me could’ve used more sauce due to the filling to bread ratio. They were not stingy with the gator and I’m grateful for that. Them red beans tho! SMACKIN! Those red beans and rice were about the best I’ve had in a long time. Felt like home cooking. By far the best thing I had at the establishment. My lady had the red fish and veggies. She liked the food but felt the fish could’ve used a little more seasoning and sauce. The veggies were fresh and cooked well. I stated the fish and had the same opinion. Honestly the red beans are what gave this review an extra star because they were that good! I will also mention that the food was slow coming out given the place wasn’t really that packed. Not my first pick when in NOLA, it was convent being right on Bourbon St. and open late. Give it a try if you’d like. Highly recommend! I loved every single thing I had here. I had the blackened redfish topped with crawfish and a half dozen of their “famous” oysters. Everything was great!!! Mind you it was midnight on a Sunday when I walked in. It wasn’t until halfway through the meal that I saw their sister restaurant is Oceana which I was already a fan of. Everything is great including the service and all the staff especially Lex ;) the before and after pictures say it all!

This place was full but my boyfriend and I decided to try to wait at the upstairs bar for balcony seating and we are so glad that we did. It was a perfect fall evening in October, our food and drinks were delicious and we even got to see and hear a second line while we were there! We will definitely visit again the next time we are in NOLA!!

As a Louisiana resident born and raised, I have to say this was the best seafood I've had in a really long time. The fried catfish was to die for and dont even get me started on the mustard greens! Additionally they had the best fried gator i have EVER HAD!
