Willa Jean in New Orleans is a very nice breakfast spot with a spacious, clean, and inviting atmosphere. I loved the bakery section and the overall vibes of the restaurant. The food was good — I tried the avocado toast and the crab omelet, both of which were enjoyable. The standout for me was the biscuit: perfectly flaky, buttery, and delicious, easily a 10/10. That said, while everything was solid, it wasn’t quite as mind-blowing as I expected based on all the hype. The avocado toast and omelet were tasty but didn’t leave a lasting impression. Overall, it’s a great spot for breakfast with quality food and a lovely atmosphere, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it a must-visit on a New Orleans trip.

Willa Jean is definitely a new favorite. We went for breakfast while visiting N.O. and everything was amazing. We ordered the waffle, the hangover bowl, and the fried chicken sandwich, and all of it was so flavorful. The vibe is bright and welcoming and the staff was super friendly. If you’re in town and looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot, this place is a must. Already looking forward to coming back next trip.

The food here was so good! I went to Willa Jean for Sunday brunch while visiting New Orleans and it was a 10/10 experience. It’s no wonder that this place always has a bit of a wait time. The staff were friendly and professional, they didn’t make any fuss when we needed to exchange a menu item. Food was so fresh and tasty. Everything that we tried tasted fantastic. I can’t wait to go back. There’s no reservations but you can join the waitlist through their website. I would recommend checking the wait time before you head there so that you don’t have to wait too long to be seated.

What a fun experience. After a short wait, we made it to our table. The service was prompt and friendly, and the coffees were on the table in no time. Orders were taken, and food arrived in without much of a wait. The others in the group loved their meals and the chicken and waffles were really great. I struggled with the marshmallows melted on the dish and tried to get around them a bit. The chicken was juicy and the batter really lovely, and the waffle was well toasted with pecans and honey. Nothing much to say that was negative. The dining room is very large, and when it is full, as it often is, it gets loud. But that would be the only critique we could make. Parking, if you need it, is challenging. 4 stars, which, using my definition, means “good place, good value”. So, really check it out when you are in town. There are many great-looking dishes on the menu, and I will be back.

John was a terrific waiter, very friendly and helpful. The biscuits are different and delicious. The crab omelet scrumptious. The goodies/hummingbird cake up front are delicious and huge, actually, everything was a sizeable portion. The atmosphere was like a workday lunch place. The prices were good especially considering it's a CBD downtown spot. Loved it
