Excellent Mediterranean food in Penang, try a few, so far this is the best ! The food is delicious and homemade in many ways. From the cucumbers, to the soup, fried shallots up to the hummus. Will definitely come again! And the service is also top notch, friendly and comfortable, meets all my needs and requirements. 6*

Food is amazing and the portion is big (can share 2-3 persons), the staffs are friendly (Khalid and Owais gave very good services) and we had a great lunch for my mum’s birthday. They do have cake and desserts to celebrate your loved ones. Will come again, thank you Damas & team!

I had lumch at Damas Penang, and it was one of the most authentic Arabic dining experiences I’ve had in Malaysia. The restaurant has a warm, elegant vibe with comfortable seating, and the service was fast and welcoming. We ordered a mix of dishes to share: • Hummus – Creamy, smooth, and perfectly seasoned with olive oil and chickpeas on top. Simple but done right. • Moutabal (eggplant dip) – Smoky and rich, topped with fresh tomatoes and herbs. A must-try for eggplant lovers. • Fattoush salad – Fresh, crunchy, with tangy dressing and crispy bread pieces that balanced out the heavier dishes. • Mixed grill platter – The star of the night! Juicy kebabs, chicken, and lamb with perfect seasoning. The portion was generous, served with fries, bread, and sauces. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. The bread deserves a mention too—it came out warm, soft, and fluffy, ideal for dipping into the mezze. Prices are fair considering the quality and portion size. Overall, this place truly brings a taste of Damascus to Penang, and I’ll definitely be back.

Love this place! The food at Damas Restaurant tastes really good. Flavourful, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Dishes are rich and aromatic, especially the grilled meats. Every bite feels authentic and satisfying. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for anyone craving delicious, hearty meals.

Top notch service and food. It's our first time trying Arabic flavours and it has been a blast! The environment is well lit and cozy, and we were able to enjoy our experience in peace. Tried the white cheese pizza and chicken kebab, especially loved their sauce and flavours! Their tea will catch you by surprise, so if you aren't mentally prepared to expand your gastronomy horizons, go for the safer teas! Highly recommended!
