⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 A Wonderful Culinary Escape in George Town Mood is one of those rare places where everything comes together beautifully, the food, the atmosphere, and the people behind it. Located in a lovingly restored heritage shophouse on Jalan Pintal Tali, this restaurant exudes charm the moment you step in. Warm lighting, thoughtful décor and a cozy layout make it feel like a little sanctuary in the middle of Georgetown. Our group enjoyed a variety of dishes, and each one carried its own character. The Roasted Cauliflower deserves a special mention, creamy, aromatic and unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere in Penang. The Chilli Crab Mantao was full of depth and flavour, with the soft mantao soaking up every delicious drop. The Grilled Squid surprised us with a hint of laksa-inspired aroma, and the Abanico Iberico was tender and perfectly seasoned. Dessert lovers must try the Truffle Chocolate Pie, rich, elegant, and the perfect finale. Beyond the food, what really elevates Mood is the service. The team was genuinely friendly, attentive and happy to explain each dish. They created an experience that felt personal and unhurried, something seldom found these days. It’s also wonderful to see a restaurant that blends Asian creativity with modern finesse so seamlessly. Portions were well balanced, flavours thoughtfully layered, and the ambience made everything taste even better. Mood is the kind of place you visit once and immediately plan a return trip. Everything in mood was divine. From the best food to the best ambience and the best location! I really wish they have one branch in KL! We are mind blown by the cauliflower, and the homemade garlic butter with the fluffy bread was heaven in our mouth. Not to forget their superb dessert, the truffle chocolate pie was the best way to end the meal. ✨✨✨

My dining experience at mood was nothing short of exceptional. Not only were the owner and chefs refreshingly friendly and attentive, the food was unbelievably good. Having dined at various high end restaurants in KL & overseas, I can say that mood stood out in the best possible way. The chicken breast was tender, flavourful and covered in fragrant dressing. The cauliflower was a unique amalgamation of flavour and texture. Lovely ambience, exquisite food, and very genuine management. A hidden gem for sure!

"A Culinary Journey of Delight and Innovation" I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mood. and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was simply delightful – a sophisticated yet incredibly comfortable setting that immediately put us at ease. It’s clear they’ve put thought into creating a space that feels both special and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a good dinner with friends and family. The dining experience here was a delightful exploration of flavors, showcasing both classic comforts and innovative twists. Each dish presented a unique character, leaving a lasting impression. The Roasted Cauliflower was a revelation. Its creamy texture, derived from a special blended cauliflower, elevated a humble vegetable into a luxurious starter. It was a testament to how simple ingredients, expertly prepared, can achieve extraordinary results. The Chicken Breast was a masterclass in tenderness. The chicken was incredibly succulent and perfectly complemented by a vibrant Thai basil sauce that added a fragrant and savory kick without overpowering the delicate meat. For seafood lovers, the Grilled Squid is a must-try. It surprised with a distinctive laksa taste with sweet and tangy pickled lotus root that was both aromatic and flavorful. This unique interpretation of a classic Asian profile was a refreshing change. The Chilli Crab, despite its seemingly simple presentation, proved to be a flavor powerhouse. The mantao (buns) were the perfect vehicle to soak up the rich, savory chili crab, and the accompanying pickled red onions cut through the richness beautifully, adding a welcome tang. The Pure South Lamb Cutlets were truly exceptional. The meat was remarkably juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. The accompanying broccoli and green pea puree was an amazing addition, providing a fresh, sweet counterpoint that enhanced the natural flavors of the lamb. To conclude, the Dark Chocolate Tart was the ideal grand finale. The rich, dark chocolate was expertly balanced, not overly sweet, and the unique addition of gula apong ice cream on top provided a delightful local twist, ending the meal on a perfectly sweet and memorable note. Overall, Mood. offers a fantastic array of dishes, each thoughtfully prepared with an emphasis on flavor and quality ingredients. It's a place where you can expect both familiar favorites and exciting culinary surprises. Beyond the delicious food and drinks, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Their genuine warmth and efficiency made our evening even more enjoyable. Cozy place located in the heart of Georgetown. Great service and very friendly. Waiter explains every dishs for us before we start every dish. Grilled squid is nice. Bread and butter is rm15. Grilled cauliflower is more special and nice.All are not bad. Affordable for semi fine dine level.
