Donna Bistro never disappoints! The food is absolutely delicious, the Nasi Lemak and Buttermilk Chicken are the best in town! And don’t miss their Char Koay Teow, packed with wok hei and full of flavour. Definitely a must-visit spot in Penang!

Tried the local bistro and the char kuey teow (Chinese style) was top tier, flavourful, though slightly salty. The tiramisu was superb, finished in less than 5 minutes. The buttermilk dish was tasty too, but can get muak after a while. Price-wise, not exactly cheap, but acceptable for the quality. Environment was okay, comfortable enough to dine in.

Got caught in the heavy rain after my dental appointment. Had to eat something, so I can take my antibiotics, so I ordered Nasi Lemak and accidentally (purposely) asked for some Daging Dendeng to try. It was superb!! One of the best beef dishes I've had in ages. (Maybe its because I've been abstaining from meat for so long) Their sambal was very tasty too. But I had to leave behind the ikan bilis and fried nuts, as its high in purines. Overall, a very tasty meal indeed! Staff were super friendly, and attentive but they played unnecessarily loud music from 5.³⁰pm onwards which wasnt very pleasant.

I had such a satisfying meal here. The whole experience was simple but really enjoyable from start to finish. The place felt welcoming and comfortable the moment I arrived. The environment was clean and chill, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The staff were friendly and polite, always smiling and serving fast. It made the dining experience even better. For the food, I tried the lok lok, buttermilk chicken with sunny side up egg, and of course the teh tarik. Everything was sedap and nicely prepared. The lok lok had a lot of variety, and the sauces were flavorful. You can choose your favorite items, dip, and enjoy it hot. The best part is that it was freshly cooked and not oily at all, so it felt light but still satisfying. The buttermilk chicken was my favorite dish of the night. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the buttermilk sauce was creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The sauce had that perfect balance of sweet and savory that made every bite so good. The sunny side up egg on top completed the meal perfectly. When you break the egg and mix it with the rice and sauce, the taste becomes even more delicious. It is one of those comfort meals that really hits the spot. And of course, I cannot forget the teh tarik. Seriously, teh tarik dia memang sedap padu. The tea had that nice frothy top and the right amount of sweetness. It was not too sweet or too milky, just perfect. You can really taste the strong tea flavor, and it paired so well with the food. After every bite, that teh tarik just refreshed everything again. For me, it is one of the best teh tarik I have had in a while. The overall experience was very satisfying. The food came fast, everything tasted freshly cooked, and the portion sizes were just nice. The prices were reasonable too, considering the taste and quality. It is the kind of place you can go with friends for casual makan time or even just drop by alone to enjoy your favorite comfort food. I love that the place has a relaxed vibe, with simple but cozy seating and friendly service. You do not need fancy food when the taste is already this good. I really enjoyed every bite and sip, and I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended if you are looking for good food with good vibes. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Sedap, puas hati, and teh tarik dia memang terbaik.

Hello. Came here after scrolling tiktok finding place to hangout till late at night and found this. A very nice place with good food! I loved the iced chocolate, buttermilk chicken and nasi lemak ayam berempah 👍. Will definitely come here again and try out other menus ❤️ Brought my family from KL and they approved here as well. Eventhough it was open space, you dont get sweaty. Parking also very easy to find.
