🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Perfect Wedding Luncheon at Hunter & Barrel Perth We held our wedding luncheon at Hunter & Barrel Perth, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The food was outstanding—generous, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the dishes! The staff were warm, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout. They recommended a set menu that turned out to be absolutely perfect for the occasion—well-balanced, satisfying, and ideal for a celebratory gathering. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made the day feel extra special. The setting was gorgeous too—rustic, elegant, and full of charm. Most importantly, our guests had a fantastic time. Everyone left happy, full, and smiling. If you're planning a celebration or just want a memorable dining experience, Hunter & Barrel is a brilliant choice.

Honestly, I expected a lot more from this place -especially knowing it shares the same ownership as Six Head 🥩👀. We walked in without a booking and got seated outside, right next to a Chanel window display - classy view, I guess? 💅 But for a spot like this, I was hoping for a little more wow factor. The menu looked promising with plenty of options, but here’s the kicker - no mention of gluten-free choices anywhere 🤦‍♂️. For a meat-based place, that’s kinda weird. My partner did well with the lamb (props to her 🐑👏), while my rump steak was… fine. Just fine. Nothing wrong, but nothing memorable either - let’s call it “standard.” Cocktails? Excellent 🍸👌. Staff? A mix of “I’d rather be home right now” 😐 and “I actually like my job” 😄. Service overall was okay, but at this price range, I expected a bit more polish. Speaking of pricing — $150 for two mains (one great, one meh), two cocktails, a bottle of water, and a dessert. That’s the famous Perth Tax™ at work 💸. Such an amazing experience as always! We were served by the lovely Sophie, all I need to say is pay rise! Such an all round fantastic server and very knowledgeable from helping me find the perfect wine to ensuring our waters were always full and we were happy, I couldn’t find a fault even if I wanted to. We had the Tomahawk which is always incredible, you can’t go wrong! And the Rib Bites which were sooo yummy🩷 Thankyou thankyou!

My wife, son and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. The design, layout and ambience of the place is really nice For entre we ordered the small portion of Calamari (Buttermilk & Szechuan marinated, lightly fried, chilli jam) and Crispy Prawn (Polenta crusted, coleslaw, chipotle yoghurt, charred corn salsa, pickled onion). Both were delicious and surprisingly decent size portions. For mains, my wife chose another entre - King Prawns (Tamarind butter, coriander chutney, char) she loved. I chose the Portoro - Grain fed Eye fillet (MB2+ 200g) with chips. The steak was succulent and had enough flavour, as I decided not to get a sauce. I just wish there was a larger version of that steak as I could have eaten several more as it was that nice! The chips were good too. We also ordered the Charred corn ( smokey chilli yoghurt, parmesan and crispy shallots) which worked well with my food. Our son had the Cheese burger (Angus beef patty, cheese and ketchup) and it came with chips also and a scoop of ice cream which was his highlight of the night. As it was our anniversary, the restaurant gave us a lovely sorbet desert to share. The flavours I wouldn't have personally picked if I had options however they tasted incredible and the 2 flavours worked so well together. The waitresses were polite and pleasant. Overall the service was great. We had 1 small issue as my wife kept getting bitten by mosquitoes which was impacting our experience. However, when we brought this to the attention of the staff, they were apologetic and even went out of their way to go and purchase Stingose gel to give to my wife and son to use and keep. A lovely gesture and my wife and I really appreciated it, which left us very impressed with everything. Definately will come back to celebrate another special occasion and try something else on the menu, which was easy to understand and had enough of a variety foods to choose from

We visited to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had an amazing experience. Tanzim, was outstanding and he helped us choose the perfect wine and even offered us a complimentary dessert since we were from the same country. The restaurant also surprised my wife with a complimentary ice cream for her birthday, which made the evening extra special. The food was delicious, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. A truly memorable dining experience and highly recommend!
