The food was very tasty – we had vegetarian dishes, but there are also vegan options available. The meals are flour-based and fresh, clearly prepared on the spot. Even though it was quite busy, we managed to find a table during lunch hours, and the waiting time wasn’t long. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, and although we didn’t manage to take a photo of the dessert, it was definitely worth saving some room for it. Wonderful restaurant with a very pretty terrace! Enjoyed every bite. The buffet has many vegan choices and everything's clearly labeled. Only thing I'll add, if you're proud to be the first vegetarian restaurant in the whole world, then make that next step! Fully vegan, you already know you don’t need animal products to create delicious dishes. So what’s the point? 😉💚 Our visit to Hiltl, the world’s oldest vegetarian restaurant dating back to 1898, was nothing short of exquisite. This is our go-to restaurant whenever we don’t know what to eat and we are in the city center. Absolutely love the food and atmosphere here. The price is also really reasonable considering its central location. Highly recommend!

Great vegetarian buffet. Pay by the weight. I tried as many different dishes as I could, and I thought the food was wonderful. Nice seating both inside and outside. My lunch was 20 francs. Not inexpensive but worth it.
