First meal in Zurich and we lucked out! This place was delicious. We started with a white wine soup (which has grapes in it….?) then had this delicious veal with mushroom sauce and hashbrowns. The only thing that would have made it better in my opinion would have been mashed potatoes instead of hashbrowns. Maybe that’s because I’m American… 🤷🏼‍♀️ regardless. Solid meal!! We finished with the warm chocolate cake which was just ok! John and Andressa made our dining experience great and accommodating! Thank you!

Huge portions, the Spätzle I forgot to photograph lasted 3 meals and was delicious. Very cozy experience and food was delicious. Lunch menu is a very good deal for a restaurant in the heart of Zurich.

Nice staff, not so nice food. We came for dinner on a Saturday evening. We ordered 2 fondues, the König and the Morell one. They arrived quickly but the taste wasn't right at all. It was very watered down with no cheese taste and very heavy on the corn startch. We chatted with the staff, which was very friendly and accomodating, and sent back the fondues. Few minutes later, barely better fondue arrived. Still very weak in cheese and floury tasting. We ended up sending those back again. I booked the place based on the reviews. I now have a very hard time believing them... I lived here for over 10 years and this was by far the worst fondue I have seen. We ended up ordering the Zurich veal and Wienerschnitzel which where very average. It's sad the food is not up to it because the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Zum Königstuhl in Zurich is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Swiss cuisine.We came specifically recommend due to recommend from internet for the cheese fondue and it absolutely exceeded expectations. The Kingstuhl fondue—a rich blend of four cheeses, white wine, cherry liquor, garlic, and spices—was heavenly. It came with fresh bread, steamed potatoes. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with multiple dining areas including a dedicated fondue floor. The staff were friendly, multilingual, and gave excellent wine recommendations to complement the meal. I especially appreciated the warm service and attention to detail. If you're in Zurich and want a memorable fondue experience in the heart of the old town.

We had an incredible dinner tonight right in the heart of Zurich’s Old Town! A special shoutout to our waiter, Victor, who truly made our night! He was personable, fun, and added such great energy to the evening. At Victor’s recommendation, we tried the Swiss-style veal and the Cordon Bleu pork — both were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Zurich! 🍷✨
