I had the pleasure of celebrating my 50th birthday at Signature Restaurant, and what an unforgettable experience it was! From the moment we arrived till we left, everything was exceptional! What I loved: -The service was impeccable - attentive, professional and genuinely warm -The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish beautifully presented and busting with flavour -The live music added a special touch, setting the tone for a joyful evening -The ambience was elegant and vibrant. It felt like a celebration from the moment I walked in. Signature Restaurant truly knows how to make moments feel special. Thank you for making my milestone birthday so memorable. Excellence in every way!

After walking past Signature in Morningside numerous times, we finally decided to book a table for a special occasion—something we’d recommend, as the restaurant tends to get very busy. At first glance, the setting suggests a fine dining experience, complete with an extensive international wine list. However, the ambiance tells a different story—unexpectedly loud and bustling, which detracted from the sophisticated atmosphere we were hoping for. We started with a sushi platter, which was fresh and well-prepared—an enjoyable introduction. For mains, we each chose different steak dishes, which were the highlight of the evening: well-cooked and accompanied by interesting vegetable sides. Unfortunately, the ribs we ordered were underwhelming—plain in flavour and not reflective of their premium price. The biggest disappointment was the overall experience. While the presentation and wine selection impressed, the high noise levels, inconsistent dish quality, and steep pricing (expect to pay over R1,200 per person, with wine starting around R1,000 per bottle) left us feeling underwhelmed. At that price point, we expected an exceptional and memorable evening—something Signature didn’t deliver. Verdict: Stylish but noisy, pricey without delivering consistent value. We won’t be returning.

What an amazing experience. Service truly second to none. Had the benefit of listening to live music truly made the night romantic. Prawn Curry was perfect My Fillet was inconsistent therefore docking 1 star. Ordered medium but it came blue to rare. Sushi was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended

Lovely restaurant with A fine dining menu I absolutely loved everything about the restaurant we are planning on coming back to explore all the other options on menu🤍 all the plates are presented in small suitable portions so they don’t overwhelm you.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at this top class gem during my visit to SA, exceptional service from all staff members, live beautiful music while you enjoy your dinner, decor really top notch.This was my third time here and they never disappoint, food tastey and well presented.Like to be honest this is one of the best places that I always feel best value for money.Professionalism at its best all the time,thank you for always bringing the best 👌🩶
