Even though the food looked nice, it wasn’t very tasty. We had bass fillets and garlic bread as a starter, but the bread was very dry. For a place where dishes cost around €20, we expected more. The service, however, was professional and the atmosphere was pleasant. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the price. The vegetables tasted frozen and lacked flavor, and the fish was the same. Overall, it feels more like a place that stands out for its location with a sea view and attentive staff, rather than for the quality of its food.

I loved this place so much I actually came back the very next day. The food here is on another level - I had the seafood pasta and I’m not joking when I say it’s the best pasta I’ve ever had in my life. Fresh, full of flavor, and loaded with seafood… absolute perfection. The view is just as amazing as the food. If you can, come around sunset - the whole place lights up with the most gorgeous colors, and it makes the meal feel even more special. The service was incredible too. Super friendly, welcoming, and you can really feel that they care about what they do. If you’re in Madeira, don’t miss O Farolim. I thought I’d try it once, and ended up falling in love with it. Already dreaming about going back!

An amazing restaurant you absolutely must try! If you’re in the area, do yourself a favour and eat here, the food is simply outstanding. Everything we ordered was top notch. The bolo do caco was the best we’ve had in Madeira, and the octopus and garlic shrimp starters… oh my, so delicious! We also enjoyed a great selection of wine, a beautiful sunset view, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Thank you for feeding us so well! 😊

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was absolutely fantastic. The food and drinks were amazing and the staff was so lovely and attentive. They even added some extra touches to make it more memorable. We watched the sun set while enjoying one of the best meals we had in Madeira. Highly recommended!

Food was good, nothing to extraordinary. Their specialty is the black pork. They also have very nice fresh dessert options. Bit more on the ‘luxury side’ compared to restaurants in the area. Maybe the presentation could be a bit nicer (vegetables and salad)
