I had a late afternoon meal, so I tried their special menu, which I called the lobster sampler, because the portion size was the equivalent of a tablespoon, as the waitress had warned me about the portion size. But it turns out to be so good and dense. The lobster was cooked perfectly, and they were juicy and savoury at the same time. For a side dish, I ordered their specialties: oyster from both the West Coast and East Coast regions. It was so refreshing, yet I almost ate 10 scallops. For beverages, they have a lot of collection of wines, like a warehouse full of wine racks. So I decided to choose a local BC sparkling wine. It was perfectly paired with the lobster. Plus, the bartender with the initials *R was very attentive and easily got along with me.

Went here to celebrate my dad's birthday and loved it. A bit pricey, but the food tasted amazing and the atmosphere inside was great; there was even a live piano performance. The waiters were super friendly. I ordered a steak, which was flavourful and juicy, and tasted a variety of seafood dishes. The seafood is really fresh and their lobster oil is especially tasty. I wouldn't come back here unless if for another special occasion, but otherwise, if you're looking for a place in Vancouver for a celebratory meal, this is the place you should go.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Joe Fortes in Vancouver! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. We started with fresh oysters, which were some of the best we’ve ever had — perfectly chilled, briny, and beautifully presented with all the classic accompaniments. The steak was cooked to perfection: tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It truly showcased the kitchen’s skill and attention to detail. To top it all off, we celebrated a birthday with their cream brûlée, which was divine — creamy, silky smooth, and with that perfectly caramelized top that cracks just right. The staff even went above and beyond to make the celebration special, adding a personal touch that made the night memorable. The ambiance was lively yet relaxed, and the service was warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive.

A friend recommended this place to us, so we made a reservation for today. The environment inside is elegant and relaxing. There is also a skilled pianist playing on the second floor. The service of the waiters is very warm and attentive, always able to notice our needs in time. The dishes are exquisite and the ingredients are fresh. Even the complimentary dessert is made with great care and no negligence. When paying, the tip options are 18%, 20% and others. Compared to other places I've been to where the service is just average but the tip starts at 20% and goes up to 35%, I think the charges here are very reasonable. It was a super wonderful dining experience and I will definitely come again in the future.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

After reading reviews and seeing some YouTube videos about this place, I had to check it out. Made sure to go during happy hour as the food prices are pretty high otherwise. Was it as great as the videos? Better, much better. I ordered the seafood platter along with a side order of deep fried calamari. It was the perfect starter to an evening out with the family. The service was incredible and the food was super delicious. Couldn’t ask for more.
