We’ll definitely be back. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, Nightingale nailed it. Couldn’t have picked a better spot to celebrate our anniversary. The fried chicken was tasty, though not the best I’ve ever had—probably wouldn’t order it again. The seared prawns were fresh, but the real star of that dish was the butter potatoes. The garlic elevated the butter beautifully without overpowering it. The pasta was hands down our favourite of the night—fresh clams, perfectly al dente spaghetti, and a sauce that was light yet packed with depth. Honestly, we almost wanted to sneak into the kitchen and beg for the recipe. And the pizza? Absolutely stellar. Probably the best in town. Crispy, chewy, flavourful—just the right balance. You’ll have to try it for yourself to see what we mean Both pizzas had thin, crispy crusts, with sauces perfectly balanced — not too salty or greasy, making it irresistible bite after bite. The braised steak was tender and flavorful, while the fried chicken had a crispy coating with juicy meat inside. The beef tartare was also a delightful treat. What is more…. the Argentine red prawns, prepared in an East-meets-West style, were wonderfully cooked, adding an extra layer of deliciousness to the meal. The chocolate dessert was super rich but not too sweet — so good! I personally think their food is absolutely amazing — not a single dish disappoints. A lovely and entertaining evening at Nightingale. We sat at a chef’s table and enjoyed watching the art of cooking and serving while checking out what we wanted to order next. The bigeye tuna, kuri squash and pasta with peas for example. All delicious and served hot off the pass to us. We also enjoyed the buttermilk chicken and the pot de crème. A shoutout to our server, Lauren. She was helpful and genuine. The Rioja we had was also quite a nice pairing, so thanks to the sommelier for supporting our selection with her expertise. We will definitely be back.

I have been quite a fan of this restaurant for many years. It being the more casual location for Hawksworth (one of my fave) really builds up to its reputation. My fave of all time is the spicy pizza with Spianata Salumi. I liked the butter fried chicken. I did order the lobster pasta. It was a bit overpriced at $60 for what it is. It was decent offering. Slight acidity to the flavor and rich. I normally not a big fan of richer creamy style sauces on pasta and only for that reason I won’t order it again. A lot of people will love it. Notable to mention is the excellent Happy Hour menu. I posted some photos of the menu.

We celebrated my sister's birthday at Nightingale a couple of months ago. It was our first time back after several years. Once again, it was fantastic. We also spotted a Hollywood actor shortly after being seated which added to our night! Service was great throughout. I really appreciated the sommelier taking his time to understand our preferences and recommending a bottle that paired well with the dishes we ordered. In fact, we've since picked up a couple bottles of that same wine. In terms of food, all the dishes were great. My favourites were (in no particular order): (1) handmade english pea & ricotta capunti, (2) Nova Scotia lobster spaghetti, and (3) carrot cake. Will definitely be back next time we're in town!
